Goat is one of the most widely eaten meat in the world, although not as well known in the UK. Goat is very like lamb in taste but is firmer in texture. Despite being classified as red meat, goat is leaner and contains less cholesterol, fat, and protein than both lamb and beef, and less energy than beef or chicken.
